RESOURCE SHARING WITHOUT MONEY

PURPOSE

This document defines how lodges may share resources without the use of money.
It exists to encourage cooperation, reduce financial barriers, and support mutual aid in low-risk ways.

--------------------------------------------------

NON-MONETARY RESOURCES

Lodges may coordinate the sharing of non-monetary resources, including:

- time and volunteer labor
- skills and expertise
- physical space
- tools and equipment
- information and training
- transportation assistance

Resource sharing should be voluntary and transparent.

--------------------------------------------------

NO IMPLIED OBLIGATION

Sharing resources:
- does not create debt
- does not imply future obligation
- does not establish ownership
- does not require reciprocity

Participation is always optional.

--------------------------------------------------

LOCAL AGREEMENT

Terms of resource sharing should be:
- agreed upon locally
- clearly understood by participants
- appropriate to the context

Written agreements are optional and may be used when helpful.

--------------------------------------------------

SAFETY AND LIABILITY

Participants are responsible for:
- using shared resources safely
- respecting property and boundaries
- complying with applicable laws

Lodges should avoid activities that create unreasonable risk.

--------------------------------------------------

NO SUBSTITUTE FOR EMPLOYMENT

Resource sharing:
- does not replace paid employment
- does not create employment relationships
- does not bypass labor laws

It exists to support cooperation, not exploitation.

--------------------------------------------------

DOCUMENTATION

Where appropriate, lodges may:
- note shared resources
- record outcomes
- identify lessons learned

Documentation should remain simple.

--------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY

Resource sharing strengthens cooperation without creating financial risk.

When money is not required, complexity is reduced.
