This notice exists to remind participants that volunteer and mutual aid activities may involve real-world risks and that each participant is responsible for their own safety, decisions, and actions.

Participants should assess their own comfort level and ability before participating.

Each participant:

- Chooses whether to participate
- Determines what tasks they will or will not perform

No participant is required to take on tasks they are not comfortable with.

- Professional qualifications
- Special training
- Certification
- Authorization to perform regulated activities

Tasks should remain within personal capability and legal limits.

- Step away without explanation
