Mutual Assistance Communal Living Initiative

Mutual Assistance Communal Living Initiative

Are you a landowner interested in using your space to help others? Or someone in need of a place to live where people look out for each other?

The Mutual Assistance Communal Living Initiative is a nationwide support program developed by Charity Helpers Foundation to help low-income individuals, single parents, people with disabilities, and others in need find safe, cooperative, off-grid-style living environments. Each location operates under a common framework, with flexibility for landowners to adapt the setup based on their land and local conditions.

This is not a rental program. It’s a membership-based mutual aid model, where people contribute to their shared environment and support one another through daily tasks, community upkeep, and respectful cooperation.

If you’re a landowner and would like to host a site, or if you’re interested in starting or joining a location near you, you can download the full program template below. The template includes membership agreements, safety guidelines, operating policies, and all the documents you need to get started.
