Independent Builders and Shops Participating in the Carrito Framework

The Carrito Certified Services Catalog is a public directory of independent builders and shops who actively participate in the Carrito builder community and work within Carrito documentation standards.

The catalog exists to help customers find experienced service providers who are familiar with Carrito specifications, build classes, and documentation practices.

Participation in the catalog is optional. Carrito documentation remains open to all builders, certified or not.

What “Certified” Means

Being listed in the Carrito Certified Services Catalog indicates that a builder or shop:

  • Builds using Carrito documentation and specifications

  • Participates in the Carrito builder community

  • Maintains familiarity with build classifications and disclosures

  • Understands the distinction between baseline, advanced, and experimental builds

  • May issue Carrito certification tags when applicable

Certification reflects process participation and documentation alignment, not a warranty, endorsement, or guarantee of regulatory compliance.

Before You Request a Listing

Carrito service providers are independent shops. Participation assumes a certain level of fabrication capability, customer communication, and responsibility.

Before requesting a listing, prospective providers should review the Carrito Shop Requirements to understand:

  • Expected shop capabilities

  • Typical customer requests

  • Build class responsibilities

  • Compliance and disclosure expectations

Why the Catalog Exists

The catalog helps:

  • Customers find builders who already understand the framework

  • Builders signal experience and seriousness

  • Communities grow local fabrication capacity

Early-stage ecosystems work best when people can find each other easily.

Listing Fees and Project Support

At launch, there is no listing fee while the catalog contains fewer than 10 service providers.

These initial listings are selected based on demonstrated capability and readiness, not order of sign-up. This ensures customers can reliably find builders capable of supporting the framework from the start.

As the catalog grows:

  • Builders may choose to contribute through a listing or community participation fee

  • Fees support documentation maintenance, platform hosting, and community coordination

Participation in the directory and community is optional.

How to Request a Listing

Builders or shops interested in being listed may contact:

  • Contact information for customers

Listings are reviewed to ensure clarity, documentation alignment, and customer transparency — not exclusivity.

All service providers listed in the catalog are independent businesses.
The charity does not own, control, or receive profits from listed shops.

The catalog exists to connect people—not to centralize production.
